Caleb Shea

Bright Red Jethro

Stainless steel and polyurethane

Purchased Arc One Gallery July 2017

Caleb Shea's sculptural practice is concerned with line, form and material. His work is geometric in structure, robust in form and playful with his use of arresting and often surprising colour. In this work, Caleb's use of robust line and formwork is delicately and precariously balanced to invite the viewer to question and explore its point of gravity.

This sculpture was part of the 'Call to the Avant-Garde – Constructivism & Australian Art' exhibition held at Heide Museum of Modern Art in 2017.
